Often referred to simply as 'The Bowline', The Charnwood Hills Race is the only fell race in Leicestershire, category C L.

It is run under Fell Running Association and U.K. Athletic rules.

It attracts runners from all over Britain and is a veritable classic. It is widely considered a favourite by many in the local running scene with the route and variations of it regularly run throughout the year.
